Do abs machines like the ab rocket work ?
Who hasn't seen those abs commercials that come out on t.v promising to give you the abs you've always wanted? Well, at least I have like about fifty times already. They make all sorts of machines that promise to give you ripped abs. People that are desperate to get in shape buy these ab machines hoping to lose weight and get that dreamed six pack but then get disappointed when they see no results. Don't let yourself get fooled. If you are thinking about buying any ab machine, stop right there and finish reading this so you can know the real truth about these "miracle ab machines".
If you're totally out of shape and you plan on buying an ab machine, first you should know that ab machines will work only if you are already doing it along with some kind of other work out like cardio, weight training or if you do sports for example. Sit ups and crunches are the most ineffective thing you can do to get crunches. Yep that's right. If you want to get defined abs, the last thing you can do are crunches and sit ups. Probably you've heard the phrase "abs are made in the kitchen". Well this phrase is absolutely true. What you eat and how you eat defines whether you have abs or not. The truth is everyone has abs but you can't see them because they're covered by a layer of fat. So in order to get those abs showing you need to get rid of that belly fat. How do you do that ?
There's a lot of things you can do to get rid of belly fat. One of them is working out.
But what kind of work outs are good for burning fat ? The most effective work outs are those in which weight training is done first and cardio is done after. The explanation to this is because weight training burns more fat than cardio so it's much better if you do your weight training first because you'll be burning more fat than if you do cardio first and weight training after.If you don't have enough time for long split workouts , another option you have is doing interval training. Try to make your calorie consumption from veggies as much as possible if your goal is to get lean.
Sleep also burns fat, it's been scientifically proved. So make sure you're getting enough sleep if your goal is losing fat and getting lean. Also try to avoid stress. Stress releases fat cells into your body and always, always have your meals on time because if you don't fat cells will also be released into your body.The last thing you want to do to get abs are sit ups and crunches.

The Truth about Abs by Mike Geary
So I just finished reading the book "The Truth about ABS" by Mike Geary and I have to say the book is just fantastic and it's the best book I've ever read about six pack abs. It provides detailed information on what exactly you have to do to have the abs you've always wanted. It has a bunch of workouts as well as lists of what foods are good ones and which are the bad ones. I've read tons of books on nutrition and fitness and this has been the best one so far. I truly recommend it to everyone that's reading this. I checked it out from the library but after having read it I wanted to keep it so I decided to buy it off amazon. Even if you're an expert on fitness or a beginner, read it, you're going to be amazed on how accurate and detailed all the information is .

Easy satisfying and delicious oatmeal and apple milkshake
When I'm hungry at night, I always try to stay full and not overeat because at night it's easier for the food that one eats to turn into body fat,, so what I always do around 8:00 p.m, is prepare myself a satisfying oatmeal and aipple milkshake.With this milkshake you will feel satisfied and full for the rest of the night so you won't have to overeat and feel like you're starving.
Here are the ingredients for this simple milkshake
Ingredients :
1 sliced apple green or red, it's up to you
3/4 a glass of milk (preferrably 0% or 1% low fat milk)
1/2 a cup of natural plain oameal
Put all three ingredients in a blender and let it blend until it has a milkshake like texture and the oatmeal has fully blended. No sugar is needed because the sugar from the apple is enough to sweeten the milkshake. That's it! You can now drink your milkshake. I hope you enjoy it !.If you really try this out please comment and say how you think it was. It's actually pretty yummy and is a great night meal substituter :P

One Cheap and Easy trick to losing weight!
I wanted to share a little secret with you guys. A little secret that has helped me lose weight.Oh boy ! I truly never imagined that doing this one simple thing would help me so much and make my weight loosing process much easier and faster. Okay I have to say that in 4 months i lost 13 pounds. But how ? What exactly did I do ? I drank water. Water ? But not just plain water. Okay, yes, plain water but what I'm referring to is cold almost frozen water! Yep that's right. Drinking cold water accelerates weight loss and fat burning.
Cold water is much better than just room temperature water. And the reason why it's much bettter is because cold water accelerates weight loss and fat burning.. I know, i just said that but it's true! Ice burns fat.It's great for burning belly fat. Of course, if you're going to try the drinking cold water method, be sure to do it along with a healthy well balanced diet and physical activity. Yes I also know this might sound stupid but it's true. Try it out for yourself and see the results ;)!

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day !
Breakfast has always been and will always be the most important meal of the day. But why ? Simply because breakfast is the meal that gives you energy to start off your day. You wake up on an empty stomach, feeling all tired and sleepy, starting a new day . But if you don't fuel your body the way you should , you're going to feel tired all day long and won't have energy during the day .
If you want to lose weight and you think skipping breakfast is the right thing to do , you're wrong. Skipping breakfast will only unbalance and slow down your metabolism and instead of losing weight, you will gain weight because skipping meals ,specially breakfast, is one of the worst things you can do !You will eat in bigger portions during the rest of the day, so it's much better to eat a lot in the morning and then eat smaller meals during the day.
So now you know. Always eat your breakfast no matter what !

5 easy ways of being more active!
1. Instead of using the car, or taking the bus to go somewhere that's not so far from you , walk, jog, or ride a bicycle .
3.Instead of taking the elevator , take the stairs.
4.When you go to the park , instead of sitting down and watching others playing and running around , get up too and start moving !
5. When watching t.v , you don't necessarily have to be sitting down , you can work out too while watching t.v
You see , the point here is to get moving and be more active by doing simple things like the ones above. No matter how little are the changes you make, if you start being more active and start doing those things every day , you will definitely see a result in your life .You will feel better and with more energy. Start little by little , taking simple steps towards a healthier life and when you will see changes , you will totally feel more motivated and will start feeling better too .
